An analysis of the existing condition of the Steam Mill’s complex concluded that all buildings, except for the silo, should be demolished. The silo becomes the main structural and conceptual anchor of the new cultural and artistic center. Its column grid measures 4×4 meters, with a total height of 28 meters. The modular construction of the silo served as the foundation for the new design approach, by multiplying the basic module (the unit of measurement), a new elongated volume is formed, connected to the existing structure under a single architectural envelope.

The central part of the project is the club space, situated within the retained volume of the silo. Modular units measuring 4×4×4 meters are inserted between the existing columns, creating a central void, a space for gathering and movement. The interplay between the smaller enclosed volumes and the large open void generates a dynamic spatial experience and allows for diverse modes of use. Through the play of light, height, and material, the club becomes the vibrant core of the new complex, a contemporary reinterpretation of the city’s industrial heritage.
