The restoration of the Church of St. Vincent de Paul included seismic retrofitting, conservation of historic elements, and the introduction of contemporary design interventions that respect the original architectural context.
Built in 1845, the church sustained significant damage during the 2020 earthquake and subsequent flooding. The intervention was based on a respectful reinterpretation of historic architectural language, combined with the integration of modern infrastructure and functional standards.
The result is a sacred space that preserves its authenticity while ensuring spiritual and cultural continuity within Zagreb’s urban fabric.
